Description:
The ASEAN Journal on Hospitality and Tourism is published by
Tourism Research and Development Centre,
Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia. The main purpose of this
international refereed journal is to advance and foster tourism and hospitality
education, research, and professionalism in the Southeast Asia region. The
journal provides a vehicle for increasing awareness, consideration and analysis
of issues in tourism and hospitality, and also promotes the interchange of
ideas, and comparative studies, both within the countries of the region and
between these countries and other parts of the world
The release of the journal is primarily directed toward the creation of a firm
tourism-related knowledge development and professional institution that is
needed to develop a reliable tourism industry in ASEAN countries by facilitating
and strengthening network among ASEAN countries professionals and scholars.
The aim will be achieved by:
Stimulating ASEAN tourism scholars/professionals contribution in developing
ASEAN tourism-related information to balance and counter other information
usually prepared/composed by western scholars, and in return, increase their
self-esteem.
Stimulating a ‘sense of belonging’ of ASEAN tourism scholars and professionals on
the regional tourism problems and undertakings.
Readerships
The journal aims primarily at a wide range of persons who are concerned with the
tourism and tourism-related issues in the countries of Southeast Asia region,
for example:

executive and senior management levels
Those who are involved in teaching and research on tourism and tourism-related
issues.

submitted under the “Practitioner Papers” categories will be reviewed by at
